#1 The Beatles
The Beatles, an English pop-rock group, was formed in Liverpool in 1960. John Lennon and Paul McCartney were the members, and Ringo Starr was also a member. They quickly became the most important and influential rock band of all time.
The Beatles were rooted in 1950s rock and roll, skiffle, and beat. Later, they experimented with many genres, including Indian music and pop songs, as well as psychedelic and hard rock. They often used classical elements in new ways.
#2 Queen
Queen is an English rock band that was formed in London in 1970. The original lineup included Freddie Mercury (lead vocals and piano), Brian May (guitar, vocals), Roger Taylor(drums, vocals), and John Deacon (bass guitar. vocals). Roger Taylor and Brian May had previously been in the Smile group before they formed Queen. Freddie Mercury loved Smile and encouraged them to experiment with new recording and stage techniques. In 1970, he joined the band and suggested that “Queen” be used as a band name, and he adopted his stage name. John Deacon was also recruited as a member of the final lineup.
#3 Led Zeppelin
Led Zeppelin, an English hard rock group, was founded in London as the New Yardbirds in 1968. The group members were Robert Plant (Vocal), Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones (Bass and Keyboard), John Bonham, and John Bonham. Jimmy Page even funded their first tour. He was familiar with many big names in rock and had previously enjoyed some success with The [original] Yardbirds. Page claims that Keith Moon from The Who claimed that the band could only go up like a lead balloon. This is what gave rise to the legendary name Led Zeppelin. Their heavy, guitar-driven sound, rooted in blues, psychedelia, and early albums, earned them the reputation of being one of the pioneers of heavy metal.
#4 Pink Floyd
Pink Floyd was an English progressive rock group that was formed in London in 1965. Their progressive and psychedelic music earned them international fame. The group consisted of five members: Syd Barrett (Vocals, Guitar), Syd Gilmour (Vocals, Guitar), Nick Mason(Drums), Roger Waters (“Vocals”), and Richard Wright (“Vocals” and Keyboard). In 1968, Gilmour replaced Barrett.
#5 The Rolling Stones
The Rolling Stones, an English rock band, was founded in London in 1962. The original lineup included Brian Jones (guitar, harmonica), Ian Stewart [piano], Mick Jagger (lead singers), Keith Richards (“guitar”), Bill Wyman (bass), and Charlie Watts (“drums”).
Some of their best songs include Paint it Black, Sympathy for the Devil, and Satisfaction (which ranked no. 2 on The Rolling Stones Magazine’s list of the top pieces of all time.

Metallica is an American Heavy/Thrash Metal group formed in 1981. The original lineup included James Hetfield (Vocalist, Rhythm guitarist), Dave Mustaine(Lead Guitar), Lars Ulrich (“Drums”), Ron McGovney (“Bassist”), and Dave Mustaine (Lead Guitar). Their Self-Titled album and the hit song “Enter Sandman” made them mainstream.
Their first two albums, Kill them All and Ride The Lightning, were underground successes. Master of Puppets, their third album, has since been one of the essential albums in heavy metal. It was also the first thrash music album to be certified platinum. Since then, the title track has been the most popular song in live performances.
