36 Enchanting Winning Photographs from The Underwater Photographer Of The Year – 2022 Competition

Many people are in love with water and the world Beneath water as well and that is one reason why underwater photography is very famous all over the world. Ocean Art – Underwater Photographer of the Year, Competition has been held annually and It was the 11th edition of the Competition held this year. Competition has been open for all who are passionate about underwater photography and have been able to participate in this competition ever since.

They dedicate over $100,000 for the prizes of the winners. The intention of holding this competition is to admire and appreciate the Majestic ocean at a time when some people have forgotten its value of it. However, thanks to this competition people are now more and more aware of the value of the ocean and it indirectly helps to minimize the pollution that happens with regard to the ocean.

Ocean Art 2022 Underwater Photography Competition consists of 14 categories as Mobile Phone (New category for 2022 ), Wide-Angle, Macro, Marine Life Behavior, Portrait, Cold Water, Black & White, Black Water, Underwater Conservation, Nudibranch, Compact Wide-Angle, Compact Macro, Compact Behavior, and Underwater Art.

This competition actually is a combination of associations and hotels that work together to protect the ocean such as S.M.Y. Ondina, MY Oceanic, Magic Oceans Dive Resort, Dive Damai, Kri Eco Resort, etc. 

The Underwater Photography Guide’s editor-in-chief, Nirupam Nigam, stated, “It is evident from this year’s winning images that our community of underwater photographers has plummeted into a new and exciting post-pandemic era. The easing of travel restrictions ushered in a level of photography that had never before been seen, including our best-in-show photo, which showcased another octopus lesson.
